Can you perform a bris in Lafayette?
Yes. Rabbi Fischer performs a traditional bris with the blessings and a baby naming for Jewish families, and he also performs a simple, ceremony-free medical circumcision for families of any background or none at all. You choose the form the visit takes, and we plan it together at the free consultation.
How soon after birth can the circumcision be done?
Most in-home circumcisions take place in the first one to four weeks after birth. A traditional bris is on the eighth day. The right timing for your baby — including feeding, weight and any jaundice — is confirmed together at the free consultation before anything is scheduled.
