Yes. Rabbi Fischer is a certified, seventh-generation mohel and regularly performs a traditional bris with the blessings and a baby naming, in your home and with your family present. He also performs a simple, non-religious medical circumcision for families of any background or faith who would prefer that. Either way, the care and technique are the same — you choose the setting and the ceremony.
Most in-home circumcisions take place in the first one to four weeks after birth, once your son is feeding well and home from the hospital. A traditional bris is held on the eighth day. The right timing for your baby is confirmed during the free consultation, when we go over the birth, your son’s weight and feeding, and anything your pediatrician has raised.
